In order to contribute to the future of a wheelchair user by offering the winning student financial assistance to help cover the expenses of tuition and books, they are awarding a $2,500 scholarship to a college student who uses a manual or electric wheelchair, or a mobility scooter. Students submit an essay regarding their goals and motivations, and the scholarship committee awards the scholarship to the best essay.

In addition to rewarding a deserving student with $2,500 to help with tuition and books, the scholarship awards the school of the recipient with a swimming pool lift that helps them comply with new ADA requirements.
